I have been a Dire Straits fan since 1978. I have never seen a performance although did see the MK Get Lucky tour in Buffalo NY several years ago. I live in the Cleveland Ohio (USA) and was visiting my wife’s family in Termoli this week. We accidentally saw a poster announcing the concert! I did not know about DSL. This was a concert of a lifetime. The band was tight and sounded great. The sound system was perfect and there was nothing lost by the open venue. The playlist included the favorites and the performances of Sultans of Swing, Every Street, R & J, Tunnel of Love, Brothers in Arms, Telegraph Road and Expresso Love were spine tingling. I was luckily enough to see this with two of my wife’s cousins, both major DS fans too. Watching the musicians that originally performed this music perform it almost 40 years later was moving beyond words. I am now 60 years old and it was great seeing people of all ages have a great time but found happiness seeing 20 year olds as into the music as I was. Unfortunately, I do not think the performers could hear the crowd’s enthusiasm as it was a beach concert.
Thank you DSL, for the performance of a lifetime. It was 2+ hours I will never forget.
