In early March 2020, we have 4 shows in Florida then we play one sold out gig on a cruise ship and spend the rest of the week-long cruise sitting back and relaxing while it sails around the Caribbean Sea (see our gigs page). Interestingly, when Alan was 19 years of age, he spent a year playing in a band on a cruise ship that left from the same dock in Miami and sailed around the Caribbean on week-long cruises.
On Sept 14 we played in Arzachena in Sardinia, and on 21 Sept in Molfetta in southern Italy. Both were outside shows and a good time was had by all. Our sax player Mel Collins is currently on tour with King Crimson, so we brought in Andy Hamilton who has played with just about everybody, notably George Michael, and on drums we brought in Andy Treacey who is famous for being the drummer with Faithless. Both were amazing. Between those shows, “the man in the red coat” and lovely geezer Jack Sonni played a gig in a club in Milan, and Marco watched Alan record an EP with an Italian band who shall remain nameless (for now).
DSL members Alan Clark and Phil Palmer have produced an album of original songs written mostly by Alan and Phil, and featuring all the guys in DSL, under the band name of LEGACY. It’s called 3 Chord Trick, and it’s available on iTunes etc and all media platforms including CD, vinyl, and DSD.
